Simply enter the term you would like to find a translation of in the textbox provided. Click on the "Look Up" button beside the textbox. The system auto-detects the language of the term. The system currently translates between Chinese and English.

The image below shows the search results. The system calls up any matching terms in our terminology resources of close of a million items. Similar terms are also retrieved based on how closely they match the term you input.

 

Suggest new dictionary term

If you do not see a translation of the term you input, you can click on "suggest" to let us know. You can provide both the original text and the translation, or just the original text for our linguists to validate or translate. New terms are added at least twice a month.

 

Report or suggest existing term

As many of our terms are extracted from different resources, including newspapers, websites and official databases, there may be some existing errors present in the source materials that we have failed to correct. Please help us make this service more useful by reporting any errors that you notice. You can do so by clicking on the "pen" icon to the left of the translated term as shown in the image below.
